How we can participate in meaningful ways

At Kurowski Development Co. one of the things that are important to us is our community both large and small and how we can participate in meaningful ways even though some contributions are not huge. But consistency and the sharing of values that we believe to be important, helps others to know who we are and in what we believe.

June 14th is a day to honor and remember the history of the American Flag.  Yes, Flag Day is June 14th. By the time most of you read this, it will be past.  What the Flag means to each of us may be quite personal, yet I believe the threads of understanding and belief are quite common.

The Freedoms we have are very special. Freedom of Religion, for example, still today does not exist in parts of the world. Freedom of Speech oftentimes gets publicity when at the extreme fringes. Freedom to Vote in fair elections is a real privilege; yet in many countries people do not even get the honest opportunity to do so. Freedom to Bear Arms is one that continues to come under attack and yet it is a basic to the fundamentals of our Constitution.

I am very grateful and proud to be a citizen of this great country. The American Flag to me is a daily reminder to give thanks for our Freedoms and all of our Military who have given so much to protect the Freedoms we enjoy today.

Please visit US Flag for more information. And once on that site, under Patriotic Writings, click on the Red Skelton’s Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. For those of you not familiar with Red Skelton, I hope after viewing his presentation, you will not forget his passion and love for our Great Flag and all that it represents.
